After picking up my brother from the airport, we decided to get some food on the way home. Considering it’s a five minute drive from where I live, we decided to stop by JD’s Steakhouse.
I’ve been here a number of times and every time there has been some sort of an issue. It was never anything major so I haven’t bothered to give out about it, but, this time they made sure I will never go back.
I’ve ordered Ribs as a starter. When the Ribs arrived I took a bite out of them and noticed they were just lightly warm. When I split the rack of Ribs in half, the inside was ice cold. I’ve asked the waiter to take them back and don’t bother bringing out a new one as they ruined it and I didn’t want them anymore.
For the main course, I asked for Filet Steak as in the past both the Sirloin Steak and the Rib-eye Steak have been very fatty. Considering the Filet was/is €28, I expected it to be pretty good. Well, I sent back more than half of Filet. It was so f*cking chewy! Dunnes does better Filet Steaks for less than €10…

What pissed me off was the waiter took the plate away, more or less still full, and didn’t even bother to ask if there was something wrong with the meal. Any other decent restaurant would ask if there was something wrong. I’ve been to places where managers came out and ask me why I didn’t finish my meal…
To make things worse, when the waiter came with the bill, the frozen Ribs were still on it! When we questioned the waiter, he replied “Well, if you take these off it will impact the early bird offer”. F*ck off!!!
A manager came down and said she will sort it out. As a good gesture she will take one of the drinks off. Just how bad is the restaurant? We ordered TWO glasses of white wine and a orange juice for the baby. She took the ORANGE JUICE off the bill haha
I didn’t ask for anything to be taken off, other than the frozen Ribs. The fact that she offered to take a drink off and then took the 2 Euro juice off it’s hilarious. The Management hasn’t got a clue how to deal with customers meaning you can’t expect anything better from the waiters.
